Damiano Gaspari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Candeloro in the 3rd minute of play. Ennio De Marchi struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Emilio Scevola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birandola. Dino Candeloro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Gaspari having to interfere. Bagnara FC's Emilio Scevola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Bagnara FC from getting a goal against them. Emilio Scevola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ennio De Marchi in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Aurelio Di Giuseppe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Angelini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Emilio Scevola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Arturo Carbonetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Carbonetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arturo Carbonetti hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Arturo Carbonetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Candeloro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Carmine Riva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damiano Gaspari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dino Candeloro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Gaspari having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Arturo Carbonetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Birandola's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Candeloro came free, but Damiano Gaspari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bagnara FC's Arturo Carbonetti in 67 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Damiano Gaspari guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Ennio De Marchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Candeloro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Birandola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Negrini to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Dino Candeloro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Fabiano Salvadore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Damiano Gaspari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 80 played minutes Bagnara FC got a freekick which was hit by Dino Candeloro. 82 minutes into the match, Bagnara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Angelini came free, but Emilio Scevola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Angelini in the 88th minute of play forced Bagnara FC's goalkeeper Emilio Scevola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
