Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Comunardo Frabetti started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Amerigo Ruggeri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comunardo Frabetti in the 3rd minute. Arrigo Rapone charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arrigo Rapone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Facchini in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Uguccioni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Manzoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amerigo Corrente was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, one of Montemarzo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Amerigo Ruggeri, was totally fooled by Occhiobello FC's Eraldo Lavatrice, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 22 played minutes Occhiobello FC got a freekick which was hit by Corrado De Lucia. 33 minutes into the match, Occhiobello FC's Comunardo Frabetti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amerigo Ruggeri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Manzoli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Comunardo Frabetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Occhiobello FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Comunardo Frabetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Ruggeri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonello Tabacco took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amerigo Ruggeri. Amerigo Ruggeri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Montemarzo's Eugenio Pozzo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Amerigo Ruggeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Tabacco, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alberto Manzoli succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 62nd playminute. Arrigo Rapone got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Occhiobello FC's Arrigo Rapone got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Antonello Tabacco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Manzoli took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Uguccioni. Christian Uguccioni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 81 minutes, Eugenio Pozzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montemarzo and the Occhiobello FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Montemarzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Pozzo to maneuver through the defense. Amerigo Ruggeri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Tabacco in the 83rd minute of play. Comunardo Frabetti hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Alberto Manzoli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Uguccioni. Occhiobello FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Manzoli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Alberto Manzoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Christian Uguccioni made a huge save. The Montemarzo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Montemarzo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
