Fortunato Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Del Greco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Fabio Garibaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Fortunato Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Del Greco in the 21st minute of play. Davide Brillante made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Amos Leggeri sent off a good shot on target. Achille Miccoli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes, Ernesto Iacobucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosário V and the Volta Brusegana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfonso Chelodi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Santoro having to interfere. Fortunato Santoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvise Del Greco's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Rosário V getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ernesto Iacobucci hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Amos Leggeri fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

After 61 minutes of play, Rosário V's Amos Leggeri made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davide Brillante was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Rosário V's zone, Alvise Del Greco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Santoro came out of the goal and Alvise Del Greco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alberigo Scrima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Davide Brillante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Leggeri in the 68th minute of play. Bianco Carbonaro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bianco Carbonaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 69 minutes into the game, one of Volta Brusegana FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 75 minutes, Fabio Garibaldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosário V and the Volta Brusegana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Fabio Garibaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 77 minutes, Alvise Del Greco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volta Brusegana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvise Del Greco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Chelodi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fortunato Santoro made a huge save. Fortunato Santoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Del Greco in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Volta Brusegana FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rosário V.
