Angelo Addari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Capodichino's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alessandro Berardi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Aie FC's Dino Carozza got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Alessandro Carota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aie FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capodichino the free kick. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aie FC! Alberto Sciamanna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Flavio Placidi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capodichino's Alvise Cugini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Berardi in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Alessandro Carota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Addari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Berardi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Addari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Cugini having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Angelo Addari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aie FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Addari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Cugini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dave Gismondi fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aie FC's protests and gave Dave Gismondi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Aie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Gismondi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Aie FC's Flavio Placidi got control of the ball when Alberto Sciamanna tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Aie FC's Angelo Addari in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capodichino's goalie prevented a goal. Franco Minati in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Placidi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Camillo Calabrese hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Franco Minati recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Aie FC's Alberto Goffredo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flavio Placidi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Sciamanna in the 90th minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Angelo Addari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Addari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Capodichino were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Aie FC's much stronger midfield.
