Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Zola in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Marcon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Carpianello AFC booed when Carpenedo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Ferraris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrico Zola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Marcon having to interfere. Flavio Marcon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvise Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Maccarone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Di Federico having to interfere. Biagio Palleschi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Carpenedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Persichetti came free, but Flavio Marcon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Biagio Palleschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Palleschi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Enrico Zola was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Carpianello AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alvise Russo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Flavio Marcon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Persichetti hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Alberto Malvezzi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlo Di Federico. Carpianello AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Carpianello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Palleschi came free, but Carlo Di Federico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Alfredo Maccarone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Di Federico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alberto Di Dio fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpianello AFC's protests and gave Alberto Di Dio a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Alvise Russo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpianello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvise Russo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carpenedo FC's Flavio Marcon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Zola in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Alfredo Maccarone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpenedo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Maccarone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Marcon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvise Russo in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Carpianello AFC's Bruno Mian got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Alfredo Maccarone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpianello AFC's Carlo Di Federico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Di Dio got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
