Ferdinando Senatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Sciarra having to interfere. Aurelio Cordone's late challenge caught a Romagnano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Cordone helped the player get up and apologised. 19 minutes into the match, Pettogállico FC's goalkeeper Adriano Sciarra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinando Senatore. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Coletti in the 21st minute of play forced Romagnano FC's goalkeeper Antonio Mantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Del Greco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Antonio Mantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Pettogállico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Cordone to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Mantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Del Greco in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, one of Pettogállico FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pettogállico FC. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Romagnano FC's Alex Basile got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adriano Sciarra. Francesco Bisegna hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dario Braccia struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Antonio Mantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pettogállico FC. Alfredo Del Greco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Antonio Mantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Di Francesco to make the kick off. Pettogállico FC's Adriano Sciarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio De Vecchis in the 52nd minute of play. Ferdinando Senatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pettogállico FC's Adriano Sciarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Senatore in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Dario Braccia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Senatore notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Pettogállico FC's Adriano Sciarra. Adriano Sciarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
