The penalty shot was made by Ettore Crispino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pontevigodarzere's Anselmo Zaino. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Pontevigodarzere's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Pugliese came free, but Anselmo Zaino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edmondo Battisti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Donegaglia FC's goalkeeper Alex Giannetta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Battisti. The crowd rose to their feet as Pontevigodarzere's Edmondo Battisti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alex Giannetta. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. In the 29th minute of the match Aldo Patrizi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselmo Zaino skillfully saved the ball. Edmondo Battisti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alex Giannetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Biagio Grandis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elia Palone during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pontevigodarzere booed when Donegaglia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Palone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biagio Grandis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alex Giannetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Gizzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Giannetta having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmondo Battisti to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Claudio Giacomini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donegaglia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontevigodarzere the free kick. Camillo Giancola kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Pontevigodarzere's Alessandro Di Camillo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cesare La Marca kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Donegaglia FC's Federico Pugliese got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Battisti in the 70th minute of play forced Donegaglia FC's goalkeeper Alex Giannetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Donegaglia FC's Elia Palone got a free kick in the 71st minute. Biagio Grandis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Giannetta having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Donegaglia FC's zone, Biagio Grandis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Giannetta came out of the goal and Biagio Grandis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Biagio Grandis struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Alex Giannetta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontevigodarzere. After 81 played minutes Donegaglia FC got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Giancola. Biagio Grandis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alex Giannetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Giannetta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmondo Battisti went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Edmondo Battisti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Giannetta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There was no doubt that Pontevigodarzere were the better team. Pontevigodarzere's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
