In the 43rdth minute of the game Armando Granato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monzoro's Angelo Astolfi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Nasuti got free with Amedeo Palone in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bianco Landolfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Concetto Iezzi made the kick off in the second half. Bianco Landolfi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Armando Granato kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Astolfi. That made the score 3-1 in the 82 minute of play.
