Anselmo Volponi, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gavasseto's Alessandro Talone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Gavasseto from getting a goal against them. Ercole Polmone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Fabio Di Federico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessio Pizzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Amedeo Cancemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amedeo Cancemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Di Domenico, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Di Domenico in the 21st minute of play forced Tti Mauriti's goalkeeper Amedeo Cancemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tti Mauriti's Ercole Polmone got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavasseto's Alessandro Talone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Pasquale in the 27th minute of play. The Tti Mauriti fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Tti Mauriti's Antonio Pasquale looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Flavio Di Domenico came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Gavasseto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Di Domenico couldn't finish the play. Amedeo Cancemi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Pizzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Pizzi to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Gavasseto got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Picca. Alessandro Talone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ercole Polmone's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. With his leg Amedeo Cancemi managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Gavasseto's Flavio Di Domenico fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ercole Polmone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Talone having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Ercole Polmone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesare Picca's late challenge caught a Tti Mauriti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesare Picca helped the player get up and apologised. 2-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Antonio Pasquale elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ercole Polmone during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Tti Mauriti's Amedeo Cancemi got control of the ball when Flavio Di Domenico tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Gavasseto's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Polmone came free, but Alessandro Talone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
