The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filippo Brandini during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Demetrio Tabacchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Varglien, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Davide Varglien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamago AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davide Varglien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Alexander Federici got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Varglien in the 39th minute of play forced Crocetta FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Tabacchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demetrio Tondi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Anfilogino Frezza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Davide Varglien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Davide Varglien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Tabacchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davide Varglien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demetrio Tabacchi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Mamago AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Tondi came free, but Anfilogino Frezza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crocetta FC's Demetrio Tabacchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Varglien in the 71st minute of play. Demetrio Tabacchi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Rosini in the 73rd minute. Alvaro Rosini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Demetrio Tabacchi having to make a save. If Demetrio Tondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Alexander Federici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anfilogino Frezza was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. The supporters of Crocetta FC booed when Mamago AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Caroselli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
