Emanuele Rosati's late challenge caught a Grassina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camillo Scrima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter Buonanno, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Carter Buonanno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dino Capaldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felice Maiorano scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ettore De Angelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Grassina booed when Doria AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Palmieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doria AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carter Buonanno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
