Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Emanuele Scarpone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Emilio Scarano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferrara FC's Amos Pellegrini shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frank Mattei but with some difficulty. 12 minutes into the game, one of Villanova Camposampiero:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ferrara FC's Fortunato Pascali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Scarpone in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fulvio Losito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferrara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulvio Losito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Mattei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Villanova Camposampiero's zone, Ernesto Corelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Mattei came out of the goal and Ernesto Corelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuele Scarpone took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Pascali. Fortunato Pascali dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Alfredo Capuozzi scored 2-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fortunato Pascali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Villanova Camposampiero were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Corelli to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Corelli during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Villanova Camposampiero booed when Ferrara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Corelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Emanuele Scarpone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Pascali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Alfredo Capuozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villanova Camposampiero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Capuozzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 minutes, Emanuele Scarpone made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Ferrara FC's Fortunato Pascali tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fulvio Losito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Frank Mattei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villanova Camposampiero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferrara FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Villanova Camposampiero's Ennio Mazzola got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Alfredo Capuozzi notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Ferrara FC's Fortunato Pascali. Fortunato Pascali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 played minutes Ferrara FC got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Chiola. Elia Frezza, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fortunato Pascali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuele Scarpone's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Elia Frezza kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulvio Losito during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villanova Camposampiero had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
