A collision led to Lunghezza getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ennio Nazzari hit a great ball. After 14 minutes of play, Lido Adriano's Alberigo Mauro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Fortunato was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ernesto Cherubini fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lido Adriano's protests and gave Ernesto Cherubini a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Daniele Silvi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosimo Di Martino in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Scrima, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 24 minutes into the game, Lunghezza's Ettore Potenza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Scrima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Cosimo Di Martino notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lido Adriano's Anselmo Scrima. Anselmo Scrima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the game, Cosimo Di Martino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Anselmo Scrima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberigo Mauro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lunghezza booed when Lido Adriano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosimo Di Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Scrima having to interfere. Cosimo Di Martino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Scrima having to make a save. Anselmo Scrima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Potenza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ettore Potenza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Scrima having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Fabiano Marchegiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lido Adriano's Anselmo Scrima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Di Martino in the 77th minute of play. In the 78thth minute of the game Cosimo Di Martino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lido Adriano's Anselmo Scrima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alvaro Cannone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Zara hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Anselmo Scrima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Potenza in the 86th minute of the match. After 96 minutes of play Lido Adriano's Daniele Silvi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Lunghezza booed when Lido Adriano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Silvi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute Cosimo Di Martino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Scrima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lunghezza fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lido Adriano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
