Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anthony Fata made the kick off which started today's match. Alvise Mattioli kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Enrico Paris acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Biagio Di Cristofaro. Anthony Fata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Vettori having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Fata in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Vettori saved Sovico from getting behind. Fedele Toppi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dino Vettori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurelio Giusto fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sovico's protests and gave Aurelio Giusto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Sovico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Giusto to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Fedele Toppi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Vettori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Sovico's Fabiano Bellomo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrico Paris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romitorio FC's Enrico Paris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Romitorio FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Fabiano Bellomo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrico Paris was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. When Fabiano Bellomo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Sovico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Bellomo couldn't finish the play. Fortunato Marchetti's late challenge caught a Sovico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortunato Marchetti helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Romitorio FC's Fortunato Marchetti got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Romitorio FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After having played for 54 minutes, Anselmo Goffredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sovico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Goffredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arrigo Ingegno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Enrico Paris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sovico's Fabiano Bellomo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fedele Toppi took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Vettori. Dino Vettori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fedele Toppi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Vettori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fedele Toppi got free with Dino Vettori in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Romitorio FC's Florian Di Vito got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Fabiano Bellomo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sovico's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Bellomo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrico Paris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anthony Fata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fedele Toppi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Romitorio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Toppi couldn't finish the play. Fedele Toppi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sovico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Romitorio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Romitorio FC.
