Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cannuzzo AFC's Bruno Rossi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Davide Pellicciotta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cannuzzo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gatteo A Mare FC the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Cannuzzo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Pellicciotta to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, Cannuzzo AFC's Bruno Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Attilio Bontempi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With an all-out effort, Gatteo A Mare FC's Antonello Pascali threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anfilogino Beattie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Attilio Bontempi came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Cannuzzo AFC's Bruno Rossi. But to his dismay, Bruno Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 25th minute, Alessio Sessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alessio Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Bontempi having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Beattie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antonello Pascali, 1-2. If Amerigo Cipollini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonello Pascali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Beattie in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Gatteo A Mare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Di Leonardo to maneuver through the defense.
Anfilogino Beattie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Pascali having to interfere. Anfilogino Beattie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonello Pascali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Anfilogino Beattie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Pascali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Amerigo Cipollini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gatteo A Mare FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Cipollini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello Pascali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, one of Cannuzzo AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cannuzzo AFC. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Gatteo A Mare FC. Arturo Cannone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Antonello Pascali. 2-2. After having played for 77 minutes, Bruno Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cannuzzo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armin Leopardi hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Alessio Sessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Amerigo Cipollini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Armin Leopardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonello Pascali. Cannuzzo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armin Leopardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Corleone during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonello Pascali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Beattie in the 95th minute of the match. Amerigo Cipollini scored 4-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonello Pascali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Gatteo A Mare FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
