In the 2nd minute of the match, Arturo Toccaceli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Pavlu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cellatica's Filippo Pavlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Cellatica from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Carrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Lo Iacono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cellatica's Filippo Pavlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Toccaceli in the 14th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Ravenna AFC's Ercole Bracco tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Damiano Flammini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Filippo Pavlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Danza kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Filippo Pavlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Toccaceli in the 25th minute of the match. Arturo Toccaceli scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filippo Pavlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arturo Toccaceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberigo Bomba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfredo Carrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Concetto Galante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Toccaceli was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Lo Iacono in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Carrea saved Ravenna AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Cellatica booed when Ravenna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Di Campli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ravenna AFC's zone, Concetto Galante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Carrea came out of the goal and Concetto Galante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ravenna AFC's Damiano Flammini got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Cellatica got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Cesare. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Arturo Toccaceli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ravenna AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Toccaceli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Pavlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damiano Flammini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Filippo Pavlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Francesco Lo Iacono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cellatica booed when Ravenna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Sansoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ravenna AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Francesco Lo Iacono 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The Cellatica players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ravenna AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
