In the 17th match minute, Ducentola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Abbagnale to maneuver through the defense. If Antonello Natale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Corna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Natale in the 28th minute of play. Aldo Barberio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Alessandrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Daniele Piccinini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Corna having to make a save. Fabio Corna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Piccinini in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Montenotte Supp AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Cesare to maneuver through the defense. Ducentola were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Montenotte Supp AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrea Toto took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dino Di Silvio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aldo Barberio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ennio Alessandrini to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Alessandrini in the 52nd minute of play forced Montenotte Supp AFC's goalkeeper Aldo Barberio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ennio Alessandrini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Barberio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Ennio Alessandrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Barberio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonello Natale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fabio Corna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Amedeo Di Salvatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Barberio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Ennio Alessandrini put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aldo Barberio. Alvaro Meo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Montenotte Supp AFC's Antonello Natale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Corna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Barberio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amedeo Di Salvatore's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute Felice Ricci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Barberio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montenotte Supp AFC's goalkeeper Aldo Barberio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aldo Barberio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Di Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amedeo Di Salvatore came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ducentola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Di Salvatore couldn't finish the play. When Ducentola's Ennio Alessandrini in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
