In the 39th minute, Anselmo Piano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesare Santoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Di Muzio in the 46th minute of play forced Intimiano's goalkeeper Alberigo Genovesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demetrio Di Muzio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. One of Novegro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Intimiano:s goal. Demetrio Di Muzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Genovesi having to interfere. Filippo Marini's late challenge caught a Novegro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filippo Marini helped the player get up and apologised. Filippo Marini hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Boldrini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Alberigo Genovesi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Intimiano walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
