After 11 minutes, Alvaro Bondi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camaldoli FC and the Cotignola FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alvaro Bondi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Cotignola FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Biagio Cardillo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Biagio Della Rocca got free with Camillo Finocchio in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Gallo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Armando Bianchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Della Rocca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Finocchio having to interfere. The supporters of Cotignola FC booed when Camaldoli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Scirea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camillo Finocchio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Guaita in the 44th minute of the match. Camillo Finocchio came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Cotignola FC's Biagio Della Rocca. But to his dismay, Biagio Della Rocca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Bianchini was the one to do the kick off. Armando Bianchini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Camillo Sardella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cotignola FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armando Bianchini 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Armando Bianchini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Camillo Sardella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cotignola FC's Aurelio Guaita, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cotignola FC. Fedele Di Pasquale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Bianchini in the 71st minute of play forced Cotignola FC's goalkeeper Camillo Sardella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Aurelio Guaita notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Camaldoli FC's Camillo Finocchio. Camillo Finocchio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Biagio Della Rocca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Finocchio having to interfere. In the 79th minute Aurelio Guaita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Finocchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Guaita in the 80th minute of play forced Camaldoli FC's goalkeeper Camillo Finocchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippo Zacchia kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes, Cotignola FC's Diego Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camillo Finocchio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cotignola FC reached it. In the 85th minute Biagio Della Rocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Finocchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Guaita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Finocchio having to interfere. Camillo Finocchio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Guaita, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Camillo Finocchio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Della Rocca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cotignola FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
