Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Beppe Capone in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Camillo Sardella, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Demetrio Balestra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th match minute, Cotignola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Poletti to maneuver through the defense. If Beppe Capone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cotignola FC booed when Rainuzzi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Spione didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cotignola FC's Camillo Sardella got control of the ball when Beppe Capone tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cotignola FC's zone, Beppe Capone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Sardella came out of the goal and Beppe Capone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Biagio Della Rocca scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francesco Pacella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Rainuzzi's Beppe Capone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camillo Sardella made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Edoardo Caccia hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Aurelio Guaita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Francesco Pacella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 44th minute when Aurelio Guaita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Guaita made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Guaita in the 53rd minute of play forced Rainuzzi's goalkeeper Francesco Pacella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Alex Gallo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beppe Capone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Camillo Sardella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Frank Pelliccioni put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rainuzzi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! After 73 minutes Rainuzzi's goalkeeper Francesco Pacella managed, with a little bit of luck, save Diego Rossi's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Diego Rossi did an outstanding performance 73 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-3 to the right of an irritated Francesco Pacella in the goal. After 76 minutes, Diego Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cotignola FC and the Rainuzzi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Cotignola FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rainuzzi:s goal. Aurelio Guaita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Francesco Pacella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francesco Pacella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Guaita's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Camillo Sardella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Capone, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Beppe Capone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Camillo Sardella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cotignola FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cotignola FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
