After 31 played minutes, Campoverardo AFC's Anthony Muto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davide Santo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Campoverardo AFC reached it. In the 35th minute Florian Musso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Azzolina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Campoverardo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! In the 43rd minute, Ennio Cimino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Campoverardo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Musso came free, but Frank Azzolina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florian Musso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristiano Gambini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davide Santo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anthony Muto. If Diego Renzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Eugenio Ciapponi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campoverardo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Ciapponi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Florian Musso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Renzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davide Santo having to make a save. After having played for 76 minutes, Ennio Cimino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Certosa AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio Cimino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Azzolina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Cimino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Certosa AFC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Certosa AFC's Ennio Cimino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 87th minute, Campoverardo AFC's Diego Renzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davide Santo. Davide Santo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. In the 96th minute Eugenio Ciapponi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Certosa AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
