The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sarzano. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Zula AFC. Augusto De Feo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arturo Di Fiore. 1-0. Ermanno Panella hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Federico Perazzolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Augusto De Feo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zula AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarzano the free kick. Augusto De Feo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzano's zone, Augusto Massaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Di Fiore came out of the goal and Augusto Massaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Federico Perazzolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute of the match Florian Polito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cosimo Petito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Augusto De Feo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Florian Cammarota sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cosimo Petito skillfully saved the ball. Federico Perazzolo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dave Domenici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Petrucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Federico Perazzolo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sarzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Perazzolo couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Federico Perazzolo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dave Domenici who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Cosimo Petito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Antonio Barone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zula AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Barone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Di Fiore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Di Gregorio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Amos Iezzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Federico Perazzolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sarzano players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
