Sferracavallo's Fausto Ferrante got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Di Toro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 16th minute when Antonio Santone elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Sferracavallo's Alfonso Ricci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amos Micarelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amos Micarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Ricci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sferracavallo booed when Cao Di Sopra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Cimino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Florian Giardini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amos Micarelli skillfully saved the ball. Arrigo Di Toro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Santone in the 29th minute. In the 40th minute Fausto Ferrante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Micarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Ernesto Proietto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Fausto Ferrante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sferracavallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Ferrante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amos Micarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Ricci in the 52nd minute of play forced Cao Di Sopra FC's goalkeeper Amos Micarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Ferrante couldn't finish the play. Fausto Ferrante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Amos Micarelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Cimino during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Cimino hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arrigo Di Toro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cao Di Sopra FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
