Cristiano Borromeo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Gallucci's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Angelo Gallucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Fiore in the 14th minute of play forced Marina Di San Nicola AFC's goalkeeper Cristiano Borromeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Francesco Piola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marina Di San Nicola AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Piola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 20 played minutes Quintosole got a freekick which was hit by Alex Della Torre. The crowd rose to their feet as Marina Di San Nicola AFC's Antonio Guarrera slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Domenico Di Marino. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. 35 minutes into the match, Marina Di San Nicola AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Fiore came free, but Cristiano Borromeo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Fiore struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cristiano Borromeo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quintosole. If Carmine Castellazzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Quintosole's Dario Fiore in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marina Di San Nicola AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute, Antonio Guarrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Fiore to make the kick off. Carmine Castellazzi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. In the 66th minute, Antonio Guarrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domenico Di Marino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Guarrera in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Bobbio during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Marina Di San Nicola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Bobbio to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Gallucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Borromeo having to interfere. Carmine Castellazzi's late challenge caught a Quintosole's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmine Castellazzi helped the player get up and apologised. Carmine Castellazzi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Domenico Di Marino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Guarisi in the 98th minute of the match.
