In the 2nd match minute, Cogoleto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Panza to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Castellazzi in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Ciscato saved Cogoleto AFC from getting behind. When Arrigo Palmieri fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cogoleto AFC's protests and gave Arrigo Palmieri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cogoleto AFC's Arrigo Palmieri got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Antonio Monticelli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Ciscato skillfully saved the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Federico Cannata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristiano Borromeo, 1-0. Cristiano Borromeo made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Emanuele Bussi sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Ciscato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Guarrera's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 23 played minutes Cogoleto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Cannata. 24 minutes into the match, Cogoleto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Castellazzi came free, but Emiliano Ciscato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Carmine Castellazzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marina Di San Nicola AFC and the Cogoleto AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cogoleto AFC booed when Marina Di San Nicola AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Castellazzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Cannata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cristiano Borromeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Panza during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Cogoleto AFC's zone, Carmine Castellazzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Ciscato came out of the goal and Carmine Castellazzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Borromeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Antonio Guarrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Ciscato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play Cogoleto AFC's Ernesto Panza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 48 minutes Cogoleto AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Monticelli who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Arrigo Palmieri got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Federico Cannata kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Carmine Castellazzi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Emiliano Ciscato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marina Di San Nicola AFC. Carmine Castellazzi in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emiliano Ciscato, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 70 minutes into the game, Emiliano Colle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cogoleto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marina Di San Nicola AFC the free kick. Emiliano Colle hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Federico Cannata hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Emiliano Ciscato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Guarrera in the 75th minute of play. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carmine Castellazzi sped through Cogoleto AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emiliano Ciscato. Emiliano Ciscato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Guarrera in the 86th minute of play. Emilio Zara's late challenge caught a Marina Di San Nicola AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Zara helped the player get up and apologised. Emilio Zara kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With his leg Emiliano Ciscato managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Marina Di San Nicola AFC's Carmine Castellazzi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 96 minutes, Damiano Cavanna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cogoleto AFC and the Marina Di San Nicola AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Damiano Cavanna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Antonio Guarrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Ciscato was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. The Marina Di San Nicola AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cogoleto AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
