Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eugenio Lucentini got the match started through his kick off. Ferdinando Bertoni's late challenge caught a Fontebuona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The tension between the Fontebuona and the Piuma AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Demetrio Nobili kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Corrado Checchia, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Armando Albertosi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Moscatelli in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Enzo Mascia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Albertosi. Fontebuona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Mascia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eugenio Lucentini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amos Marchegiani having to interfere. When Eugenio Lucentini, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Amos Marchegiani was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Eugenio Lucentini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amos Marchegiani, 1-1. Cristiano Di Cicco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Fontebuona's zone, Filippo Moscatelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Albertosi came out of the goal and Filippo Moscatelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Piuma AFC's Enzo Mascia in the 54th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Armando Albertosi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Fontebuona through an amazing save. Armando Albertosi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Bertoni in the 55th minute of the match. Enzo Mascia had several of the Fontebuona's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Armando Albertosi as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 66th match minute, Fontebuona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Pasinati to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fontebuona's Cristiano Di Cicco got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Filippo Moscatelli spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Fontebuona's goal. In the 75th match minute, Fontebuona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Nobili to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Fontebuona got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Pasinati. If Filippo Moscatelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Frank Pantano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
