Finocchio AFC's Arturo Borromeo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Finocchio AFC from getting a goal against them. Camillo Profeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 played minutes Olive AFC got a freekick which was hit by Davide Piccioli. Alfonso Della Francesca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Giardini in the 30th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Alessio Giardini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Finocchio AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Alessio Giardini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Della Francesca was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Finocchio AFC's Arturo Borromeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Cera in the 42nd minute of play. Alessio Giardini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfonso Della Francesca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmine Fabiani struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Alfonso Della Francesca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finocchio AFC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Carmine Fabiani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Finocchio AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmine Fabiani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Della Francesca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Olive AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Enzo Pizziolo hit a great ball.
