Fabrizio Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Giampietro, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Biagio Giampietro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Triggiano's Fabrizio Mazza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Rossini struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Fabrizio Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fogliano Marina AFC. 13 minutes into the match, Fogliano Marina AFC's goalkeeper Andrea Flammini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenico Ronca. If Biagio Giampietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Flammini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Maurizi in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Fogliano Marina AFC's Biagio Giampietro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrizio Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Maurizi in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Flammini saved Fogliano Marina AFC from getting behind. Fabrizio Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Rossini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domenico Ronca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Andrea Flammini managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Triggiano's Domenico Ronca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Domenico Ronca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Biagio Giampietro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Eugenio Domenici fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Triggiano's protests and gave Eugenio Domenici a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Triggiano! When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Fogliano Marina AFC's Ferdinando Cherubini got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fabrizio Mazza. In the 63rd minute, Fogliano Marina AFC's Andrea Martini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabrizio Mazza. Fabrizio Mazza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 66th minute Biagio Giampietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Maurizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Flammini having to interfere. Alfredo Rossini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrizio Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute Biagio Giampietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Maurizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Flammini having to interfere. The Fogliano Marina AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fogliano Marina AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
