A nice corner shot did that Emilio Lattanzio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ennio Pezzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 7th minute of the game, Emanuele Bosso landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Daniele Chiola kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Ciccio Volpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Francesco Zaccardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castel Mella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Zaccardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francesco Zaccardi might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ennio Pezzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francesco Zaccardi ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Dennis Di Nino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castel Mella's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Di Nino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennio Pezzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ercole Scarano kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Chiavelli getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Daniele Chiola hit a great ball. Francesco Zaccardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ennio Pezzi made a huge save. Antonello Sciamanna's late challenge caught a Castel Mella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonello Sciamanna helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Chiavelli got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Sciamanna. Francesco Zaccardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ennio Pezzi made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Falcioni in the 39th minute of play forced Castel Mella's goalkeeper Carter Laudadio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Castel Mella's Davide Burelli seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Davide Burelli the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Castel Mella protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Davide Burelli had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Castel Mella fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Chiavelli. Ercole Scarano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carter Laudadio. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armin Gagliano to make the kick off. Ettore Falcioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Laudadio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Miranda in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Laudadio saved Castel Mella from getting behind. Chiavelli's Ennio Pezzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Di Nino in the 62nd minute of play. Donato Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chiavelli's Donato Miranda in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castel Mella's goalie prevented a goal. Carter Laudadio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Miranda in the 68th minute of the match. Chiavelli's Ennio Pezzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Gagliano in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Castel Mella booed when Chiavelli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Volpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Castel Mella's Carter Laudadio got control of the ball when Ettore Falcioni tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Ciccio Volpe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chiavelli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castel Mella the free kick. A collision led to Chiavelli getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ennio Pezzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 79 minutes, Eugenio Lizzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castel Mella and the Chiavelli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eugenio Lizzi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Ferdinando De Matteis came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Castel Mella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinando De Matteis couldn't finish the play. Flavio Proietti's late challenge caught a Castel Mella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Proietti helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Chiavelli got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Proietti. 97 minutes into the match, Castel Mella's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Miranda came free, but Carter Laudadio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
