In the 4th match minute, Panocchia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Mazzocchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Alfredo Cirone sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Panocchia FC's Anthony Tarulli didn't even have to move. If Carmine Conforti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Macchione in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anthony Tarulli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes, Cosimo Riva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bettola FC and the Panocchia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 22 minutes into the match, Alfredo Addari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Gentili. Bettola FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Addari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alfredo Addari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego De Francesco during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panocchia FC booed when Bettola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego De Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Gentili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Orrore in the 30th minute of play. If Alfredo Addari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Conforti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Anthony Tarulli made a huge save. After 44 played minutes Panocchia FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Carafa.

The wind increased when Fabiano Macchione made the kick off in the second half. Bettola FC's Diego Gentili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Bettola FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Bettola FC's zone, Augusto Orrore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Gentili came out of the goal and Augusto Orrore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute of the match Alfredo Cirone shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthony Tarulli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Carmine Conforti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Conforti might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthony Tarulli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carmine Conforti ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the game, Ferdinando Bellomo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panocchia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bettola FC the free kick. Diego Gentili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Addari, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Augusto Orrore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bettola FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cosimo Riva hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Augusto Orrore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panocchia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Orrore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alfredo Addari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego De Francesco was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Diego De Francesco hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Panocchia FC's Ferdinando Bellomo tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bettola FC's Diego Gentili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Bettola FC from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Addari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Gentili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Orrore in the 100th minute. Panocchia FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
