In the 6th minute Alberigo Melucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Minotti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Ramundo in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Minotti saved Sala AFC from getting behind. In the 14thth minute of the game Alberigo Melucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sala AFC's Dino Minotti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ermanno Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmine Mascitti in the 17th minute. Sala AFC's Dino Minotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Ramundo in the 22nd minute of play. Edmondo Scatena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Carmine Mascitti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ermanno Miranda, 1-0. When Camillo Travaglini fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cesate FC's protests and gave Camillo Travaglini a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Camillo Travaglini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sala AFC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 40th minute of the game, when Alex Scirea after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Cesate FC's goal. Alex Scirea was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Edmondo Scatena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Flavio Passerini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmondo Scatena was the one to do the kick off. Ermanno Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Mascitti in the 54th minute of the match. With his leg Dino Minotti managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Cesate FC's Anthony Ramundo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67thth minute of the game Edmondo Scatena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cesate FC's Ermanno Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberigo Melucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dino Minotti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Claudio Muzzolon fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sala AFC's protests and gave Claudio Muzzolon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cesate FC booed when Sala AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Scirea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Beppe Pantano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dino Minotti skillfully saved the ball. Anthony Ramundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Dino Minotti made a huge save. Carmine Mascitti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
