Alberto Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Petrocchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Petrocchi in the 21st minute of play forced Argate Brianza AFC's goalkeeper Alberto Amicone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Domenico Vaiani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domenico Vaiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Rocchetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole De Vecchis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute Claudio Nanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Amicone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesinali's Arturo Rocchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole De Vecchis in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Ercole De Vecchis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argate Brianza AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole De Vecchis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Argate Brianza AFC's Angelo Rubini got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ercole De Vecchis to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Ercole De Vecchis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Giusto during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anthony Petrocchi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Amicone came out and tried to block the shot, but Anthony Petrocchi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 68th minute. Arrigo Iannucci kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Argate Brianza AFC's Domenico Vaiani got a free kick in the 74th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Argate Brianza AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Petrocchi came free, but Alberto Amicone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Amicone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Nanni in the 82nd minute.
