Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristoforo Moreschi took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Moreschi in the 6th minute of play forced Meianiga's goalkeeper Corrado Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Moreschi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Corrado Di Giambattista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado Di Giambattista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Moreschi in the 10th minute of play. If Eugenio Scrima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrizio Maldini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Scrima in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Marling's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Stumpo came free, but Fabrizio Maldini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrado Di Giambattista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Moreschi in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Marling booed when Meianiga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Pietrantoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Meianiga's goalkeeper Corrado Di Giambattista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Di Gaetano. Cristiano Stumpo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Testi kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Eugenio Scrima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Cristiano Stumpo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meianiga's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Stumpo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrizio Maldini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Marling's zone, Cristiano Stumpo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrizio Maldini came out of the goal and Cristiano Stumpo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Marling getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Emiliano Romanese hit a great ball. Fabrizio Maldini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Stumpo in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Bernardo Di Gaetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Corrado Di Giambattista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Alessandro De Tommasi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meianiga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marling the free kick. Alessandro De Tommasi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Bernardo Di Gaetano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Marling's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Scrima came free, but Fabrizio Maldini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrizio Maldini made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Cristiano Stumpo sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the game, Bernardo Di Gaetano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Corrado Di Giambattista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabrizio Maldini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Scrima in the 88th minute of play. If Bernardo Di Gaetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marling fans cheered their team off the field, for while Meianiga had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
