When Eugenio Carosella came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Calerno AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Carosella couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Attilio Ruggieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lodra's supporters rose to their feet, but Attilio Ruggieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo Ceccarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmondo Ceccarelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attilio Ruggieri in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Calerno AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Cancemi came free, but Edmondo Ceccarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Carosella was the one to do the kick off. Edmondo Ceccarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Cancemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lodra's Alvaro Volta got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Calerno AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Ruggieri came free, but Edmondo Ceccarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmondo Ceccarelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Cancemi in the 62nd minute of play. Enzo Cancemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Ceccarelli having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lodra's goalkeeper Armando Carnevale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lodra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calerno AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
