Calanna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Felino the free kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ettore Marra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camillo Vieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alex Fanfarone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Domenici in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Calanna FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ciro Napoleone hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, one of Calanna FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calanna FC. After having played for 66 minutes, Anselmo Domenici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calanna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Domenici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eraldo Marinelli's late challenge caught a Calanna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eraldo Marinelli helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Felino's Eraldo Marinelli got a free kick in the 69th minute. Alex Fanfarone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Domenici in the 72nd minute of the match.
