Cosimo Rago didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Barcola's Carmine Matteucci shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 14th minute Achille Cesareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Liberati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferruccio Papetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Liberati having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Ferruccio Papetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corrado Liberati. Barcola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferruccio Papetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Comunardo Profeta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Liberati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Enrico Di Cesare managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcola's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Di Cesare was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosimo Rago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Papetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Liberati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Papetti in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Comunardo Profeta to strike the kick off in the second half. After 70 played minutes Orero got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Di Giulio. Ferruccio Ferraro, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carlo Di Giulio kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Comunardo Profeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 90 minutes, Eugenio Scarpone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcola and the Orero players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barcola getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eugenio Scarpone hit a great ball. Ferruccio Papetti scored 2-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corrado Liberati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Orero eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
