But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Comunardo Massa couldn't finish the play. After 15 minutes, Damiano Anastasi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volpiano and the Bresso AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damiano Anastasi kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Bianco Di Cola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno De Donatis in the 29th minute of the match. If Diego Filippini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrico Pocobello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bianco Di Cola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Damiano Bizzarri sped through Bresso AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ettore Calabrese. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Comunardo Massa was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Comunardo Massa in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bianco Di Cola saved Volpiano from getting behind. Damiano Bizzarri's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ettore Calabrese firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute Comunardo Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bianco Di Cola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Granata kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bianco Di Cola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Felice Di Battista charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felice Di Battista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bresso AFC booed when Volpiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Di Battista didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Volpiano's Diego Filippini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ettore Calabrese. That made the score 1-2 after 86 minutes of play. Diego Filippini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bianco Di Cola came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Bresso AFC's Enrico Pocobello. But to his dismay, Enrico Pocobello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
