Alex Catini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olive AFC. Alexander De Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Tacconelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Arturo Reggianini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander De Lorenzi was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. If Filippo Tacconelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander De Lorenzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Biagio Giardino's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Olive AFC's Alfredo Pettinelli in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Battedizzo's goalie prevented a goal. Filippo Tacconelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alexander De Lorenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Alessio Trombatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Pettinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27th play minutes Arturo Reggianini shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Alexander De Lorenzi and just under the crossbar into goal. Olive AFC's Alexander De Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Reggianini in the 33rd minute of play. Filippo Tacconelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexander De Lorenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Pettinelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Catini having to interfere. With a little luck, Battedizzo's Alex Catini got control of the ball when Ciro Di Marino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Pettinelli struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Battedizzo's Biagio Giardino got a free kick in the 54th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Olive AFC's Dario Caretti tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arturo Reggianini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alexander De Lorenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Battedizzo's Alex Catini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Pettinelli in the 65th minute of play. Alex Catini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Pettinelli in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ciro Di Marino made a precise shot to the right of Alex Catini. Battedizzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Reggianini in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander De Lorenzi saved Olive AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Battedizzo's zone, Dennis Frasca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Catini came out of the goal and Dennis Frasca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Catini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Di Marino went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Filippo Tacconelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battedizzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Tacconelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander De Lorenzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olive AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
