Ceranesi's Fabiano Bergamini got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Bergamini in the 5th minute of play forced Sarmeola FC's goalkeeper Carmine Trevisani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Fabiano Bergamini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmeola FC's Carmine Trevisani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Fabiano Bergamini came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ceranesi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Bergamini couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Emilio Nazzaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Ceranesi's goalkeeper Fausto Cicchinelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Nazzaro. In the 28th minute, Emilio Nazzaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Antonio Di Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Trevisani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ceranesi's Antonio Di Loreto in 32 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Carmine Trevisani guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 0-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Fabiano Bergamini elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Piccirilli in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Cicchinelli saved Ceranesi from getting behind. Christian Piccirilli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ceranesi's Armin Grande got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Christian Piccirilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ceranesi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Piccirilli to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmeola FC's zone, Aurelio Taraborrelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Trevisani came out of the goal and Aurelio Taraborrelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Di Loreto in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmine Trevisani saved Sarmeola FC from getting behind. Antonio Di Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessio Chiarelli during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sarmeola FC's Alessio Chiarelli got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Antonio Di Loreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmeola FC's Carmine Trevisani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Ceranesi's Carmine Trevisani threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonio Di Loreto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carmine Trevisani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Bergamini went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 70 played minutes Sarmeola FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Chiarelli. Carmine Trevisani acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudio Preda. Christian Piccirilli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Cicchinelli having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Emilio Nazzaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Cicchinelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Emilio Nazzaro struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fausto Cicchinelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmeola FC. 86 minutes into the match, Ceranesi's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Nazzaro came free, but Fausto Cicchinelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Bergamini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Carmine Trevisani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Di Loreto in the 95th minute of play forced Sarmeola FC's goalkeeper Carmine Trevisani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sarmeola FC's Carmine Trevisani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Sarmeola FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ceranesi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
