Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christian Piccirilli took the kick off in the first half of the match. Angelo Brunelli's late challenge caught a Sarmeola FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Brunelli helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Roata Rossi getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Angelo Brunelli hit a great ball. Emilio Nazzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sarmeola FC booed when Roata Rossi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Spadoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Crosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Nazzaro in the 7th minute of play. Emilio Nazzaro struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Christian Crosta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmeola FC. After having played for 11 minutes, Christian Piccirilli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmeola FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Piccirilli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Christian Piccirilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Crosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Piccirilli in the 25th minute of the match. Francesco Spadoni hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Biagio Fata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carmine Trevisani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sarmeola FC's Fulvio Del Duca got a free kick in the 30th minute. Emilio Nazzaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Crosta having to interfere. When Emilio Nazzaro came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sarmeola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Nazzaro couldn't finish the play. Carmine Trevisani made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Antonio Sforza sent off a good shot on target. When Antonio Sforza came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Roata Rossi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Sforza couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Biagio Fata was the one to do the kick off. If Emilio Nazzaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Chiarelli in the 59th minute of play forced Roata Rossi's goalkeeper Christian Crosta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felice Tana hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Carmine Trevisani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Fata, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Christian Piccirilli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Christian Crosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th play minute Emilio Nazzaro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christian Crosta. 0-1. Carmine Trevisani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Fata in the 82nd minute of the match. If Antonio Sforza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Christian Piccirilli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Crosta. That made the score 0-2 in the 87 minute of play. Emilio Nazzaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Crosta having to make a save. 95 minutes into the match, Emilio Nazzaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Crosta. Roata Rossi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Nazzaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Sarmeola FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
