Gorra AFC's Aurelio Montaldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Gorra AFC from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Montaldi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Gorra AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Montaldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Milanese. In the 16th minute of the match Felice Stellato shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Montaldi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Adriano Giardino fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monticello's protests and gave Adriano Giardino a yellow card for diving instead. Franco Puja struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Carlo Catapano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorra AFC. In the 26th minute, Concetto Mazzocchetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ferdinando Chitarroni in the 27th minute really tested Aurelio Montaldi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Monticello getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ciro De Vecchis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Dennis Berardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monticello's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Berardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Montaldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Eugenio Milanese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Montaldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 40th minute Fabrizio Nobile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Catapano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Puja took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlo Catapano. Carlo Catapano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franco Puja was the one to do the kick off. Carlo Catapano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Mazzocchetti in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Puja in the 55th minute of play forced Monticello's goalkeeper Carlo Catapano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Gorra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carter Cellucci to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Monticello's Ferdinando Chitarroni broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Monticello's Eugenio Milanese got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro De Vecchis hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Monticello's Eugenio Milanese sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Montaldi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franco Puja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Catapano having to interfere. Eugenio Milanese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
