Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristiano Rivera got the match started through his kick off. Carlo Lancia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Rivera in the 6th minute of the match. Anselmo Di Marzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Basile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11thth minute of the game Cosimo Basile who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caio's Anselmo Di Marzio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute Lencisa were awarded a corner. Alvaro Martinelli went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alvaro Martinelli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anselmo Di Marzio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cosimo Basile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Caio's zone, Donato Moretti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Di Marzio came out of the goal and Donato Moretti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Caio's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Moretti came free, but Anselmo Di Marzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Caio booed when Lencisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Daniele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 minutes of play, Lencisa's Cosimo Basile made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Di Marzio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 51st minute, Cristiano Fanfarone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlo Lancia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Rivera in the 56th minute of play forced Lencisa's goalkeeper Carlo Lancia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cristiano Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Caio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Rivera couldn't finish the play. After having played for 70 minutes, Cristiano Rivera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Rivera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Caio getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Christian Macchione hit a great ball. Cristiano Fanfarone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Doris during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lencisa's Flavio Doris got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Carlo Lancia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Fanfarone, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Cosimo Basile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Di Marzio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Moretti in the 95th minute. If Donato Moretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute.
