Torrazza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zello FC the free kick. The supporters of Zello FC booed when Torrazza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damiano Proia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filippo Galli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Zello FC's Fabrizio Valeri got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Giandomenico's late challenge caught a Torrazza FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Giandomenico helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Giandomenico kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Aldo Gentili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Lio in the 27th minute of play. Filippo Galli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Proia, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Zello FC's Aldo Gentili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Lio in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Torrazza FC's Cosimo Lio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Gentili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cosimo Lio sped through Zello FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aldo Gentili. Alexander Buonanno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aldo Gentili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexander Buonanno to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthony Mancinelli hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Damiano Proia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Torrazza FC's Filippo Galli. Filippo Galli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the match, Torrazza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrizio Valeri came free, but Filippo Galli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Banana in the 63rd minute of play forced Torrazza FC's goalkeeper Filippo Galli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Gentili didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cosimo Lio went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Cosimo Lio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Aldo Gentili made a huge save. A collision led to Torrazza FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ermanno Di Bartolo hit a great ball. Damiano Proia might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filippo Galli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damiano Proia ran back to his position shaking his head. Achille Preda kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Torrazza FC's Alexander Buonanno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aldo Gentili. Aldo Gentili yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Damiano Proia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filippo Galli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Eugenio De Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugenio De Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eugenio De Rossi hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Zello FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Torrazza FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Fantauzzi took the corner. Zello FC's Donato Fantauzzi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filippo Galli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 90 minutes into the match, Torrazza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Proia came free, but Filippo Galli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torrazza FC's Cosimo Lio got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zello FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damiano Proia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Galli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Torrazza FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Torrazza FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
