After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Ettore Cristofari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borghi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Cristofari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Fiordelisi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felice Betti struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Angelo Schiavio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brarola. When Antonio De Bartolo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arrigo De Amicis made a kick off. Arrigo De Amicis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alberigo Fiordelisi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo De Amicis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Borghi FC's Angelo Schiavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Della Torre in the 72nd minute of play. Borghi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brarola the free kick. When Donato Spinosa fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brarola's protests and gave Donato Spinosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Donato Spinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Melis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberigo Fiordelisi. Brarola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 93rd minute Bruno Della Torre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Schiavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes, Fabrizio Villani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brarola and the Borghi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
