Davide Petrella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Trentini in the 19th minute of play. Ennio Marongiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alex Leopardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Achille Trentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Persichello FC booed when Valle Benedetta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Pio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Leopardi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Persichello FC's Davide Petrella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Trentini in the 37th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ennio Marongiu was the one to do the kick off. Enzo Meazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Petrella having to interfere. If Felice Cangiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davide Petrella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Meazza in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, Persichello FC's Davide Petrella got control of the ball when Achille Trentini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valle Benedetta's Alex Leopardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Marongiu in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Persichello FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Valle Benedetta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
