After a rather tough play, Monte Moro AFC's Ercole Monti got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 3 minutes into the match, Monte Moro AFC's goalkeeper Aldo Ramoser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Falone. Diego Cino charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Cino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Diego Cino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Falone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Aldo Ramoser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercatale AFC's Fabiano Serantoni got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Monte Moro AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ercole Monti hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Beppe Falone in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Edoardo Ciccone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Ramoser having to interfere. Fabiano Serantoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Aldo Ramoser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filippo Mazzocchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Camillo Trabucco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monte Moro AFC's Aldo Ramoser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Serantoni in the 28th minute of play. Camillo Trabucco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Ingegno, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Ercole Monti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Beppe Falone fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fabiano Serantoni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Ramoser having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Fabiano Serantoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabiano Serantoni was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Monte Moro AFC's Attilio Ingegno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Trabucco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Serantoni in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Ramoser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st match minute, Mercatale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Marcon to maneuver through the defense. If Filippo Mazzocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Serantoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Ramoser having to interfere. Fabiano Serantoni struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Aldo Ramoser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercatale AFC. 85 minutes into the game, Enzo Manfredi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte Moro AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mercatale AFC the free kick. Aldo Ramoser went to the wrong direction when Cristoforo Palmieri was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of Mercatale AFC booed when Monte Moro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Navarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Ramoser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Falone in the 89th minute of play. Aldo Ramoser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beppe Falone's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
