Fabiano Serantoni started the match with the kick off. Anthony Toppi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Serantoni's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Edoardo Di Persio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Cosimo Marziali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Anthony Toppi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mercatale AFC's Camillo Trabucco got control of the ball when Cosimo Marziali tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute Fabiano Serantoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Toppi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gambellara getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dennis Firmani hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mercatale AFC's zone, Cosimo Marziali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Trabucco came out of the goal and Cosimo Marziali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrizio Morini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Fabrizio Morini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Trabucco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gambellara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mercatale AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabrizio Morini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anthony Toppi made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Beppe Falone sent off a good shot on target. If Fabiano Serantoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anthony Toppi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Serantoni's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Anthony Toppi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beppe Falone went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Mercatale AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Edoardo Ciccone hit a great ball. Camillo Trabucco came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Gambellara's Fabrizio Morini. But to his dismay, Fabrizio Morini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Camillo Trabucco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Morini in the 83rd minute of the match. Fabiano Serantoni struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Anthony Toppi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercatale AFC. Cosimo Marziali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Camillo Trabucco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Cosimo Marziali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Trabucco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
