Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bologna's Ermanno Sciarra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ermanno Sciarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bologna's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermanno Sciarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennio Lio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arrigo Trevisani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Paganelli in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Edoardo Paganelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arrigo Trevisani. Bologna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edoardo Paganelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Arrigo Giansante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bologna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quinzano AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bologna's Arrigo Giansante got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quinzano AFC's goalkeeper Ennio Lio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amerigo Fantasia kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Damiano Testis short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Ennio Lio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arrigo Trevisani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Di Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Quinzano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Ricciuti. If Eraldo Di Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Eraldo Di Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Trevisani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Testi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ennio Lio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bologna. Ennio Lio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Sciarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Damiano Testi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ennio Lio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bologna.
Edoardo Paganelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arrigo Trevisani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bologna's Daniele Guerini got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Paganelli in the 62nd minute of play forced Bologna's goalkeeper Arrigo Trevisani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Daniele Guerini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Ermanno Sciarra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bologna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ermanno Sciarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinzano AFC's Edoardo Paganelli got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ennio Lio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Sciarra in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Bologna's Damiano Testi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ennio Lio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arrigo Trevisani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Paganelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Quinzano AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bologna.
