If Augusto Falasca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Augusto Falasca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Armando Pizzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augusto Falasca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Bolli in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Del Pizzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Claudio Bolli sped through Roverazza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Del Pizzo. 40 minutes into the match, Cassino Di Sotto's goalkeeper Florian Cerri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Falasca. Beppe Lo Iacono struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Alfredo Del Pizzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cassino Di Sotto. After the first half Cassino Di Sotto were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Bolli to make the kick off. Claudio Bolli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Alfredo Del Pizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Comunardo Musso came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Roverazza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Comunardo Musso couldn't finish the play. Augusto Falasca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Piacente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Florian Cerri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Claudio Bolli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cassino Di Sotto's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Bolli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Del Pizzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Franco Gaudino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Del Pizzo. The goal made the score 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Bolli in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Del Pizzo saved Roverazza from getting behind. After 80 minutes, Eraldo Alessandro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cassino Di Sotto and the Roverazza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Roverazza booed when Cassino Di Sotto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Alessandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cassino Di Sotto's Franco Gaudino got a free kick in the 84th minute. Comunardo Musso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Cerri having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Augusto Falasca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Falasca took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Cerri. Florian Cerri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cassino Di Sotto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
