The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvise Anelli helped the player get up and apologised. Anselmo Martorella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Cristiano Poletti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristoforo Ferraris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristoforo Ferraris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cesare Nanni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesare Nanni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvise Anelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Anselmo Martorella made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alvise Anelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
